Carlisle Tennis fail to advance...

The Carlisle High School Varsity Tennis team competed in the Division 2 Sectional tournament this past weekend.  In Singles, Marshall Motley was defeated by Chaminade Julienne's Beau Smedley 6-0, 6-1.  Kyle Strasburger was defeated by Joel Clark of Bellbrook 6-0, 6-0.  Cody Beculheimer had a bye into the second round and advanced to third by defeating David McNeely from Xenia Christian 6-1, 6-0.  Beculheimer was defeated in the third round by #2 seeded Alex Fields from Madison 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles, Nick Reynolds and Adam Emrick defeated Scott and Henderson from Stivers 6-1, 6-4.  Then in the second round lost to #1 seed Matt Carpenter and Aaron Pruitt from Oakwood 6-0, 6-0.  The duo of Zach Young and Zach Williams lost in the first round to Bellbrook's Whalen and Beers.  But not without a fight the Bellbrook duo won 7-6 (6), 7-6 (1).

Great season to the Carlisle Varsity Tennis players!!  CONGRATS!!
