Area basketball awards go too...

Basket ball positions. Legend: # point guard: ...
The Carlisle Indians basketball programs were represented in the area awards this past week.  As many know, Alexis Murphy, of the Carlisle Indians Girls Hoop program, won the Middletown Journal Player of the Year award.  Murphy, in a bit of a surprise, was named Division 3 Honorable Mention for All-Area team.  We thought Alexis was definitely worthy of a higher honor.  Congrats Alexis!!

The boys had some representation, as well, Adam Emrick, was Division 3 Honorable Mention for All-Area recognition.

The girls ended their season, with the best in years, finishing their season 15-6 overall and 7-5 in the SWBL.  Coach Randy Glover did a nice job with such a young group.  The expectations next year will be high and it will be exciting to see this team return to action!

The boys ended their season 6-15 overall and 2-10 in the SWBL.  Same as the girls, this was a relatively young team who returns all their junior starters next year.  With a year under their belt and the experience of this season.  This team will be fun to watch next year!!

GO INDIANS!!
