Last week, the Carlisle Boys Varsity Basketball program had a stout three game week. First, on December 15th they traveled to SWBL foe Northridge to take on the Polar Bears. The Indians lost 82-61 to a strong Northridge team. Adam Emrick paced the Indians with 23 points and Jordan Jacobs added 13 and Josh Koogle added 7.
Next, they traveled to the winless Monroe Hornets on Friday night, December 18th and topped them with a victory 68-54. Jumping out to a 20-9 First Quarter paced the Indians in this win. Adam Emrick led the Indians in scoring again with 20 points, T.C. Cooper and Jordan Jacobs added 16, and Josh Koogle had 11.
To wrap things up for the week it was Indians vs. Indians on Saturday night. The Newton Indians vs. Carlisle Indians. Carlisle took a 38-30 half time lead but Newton scratched their way back into the game in the third quarter by outscoring Carlisle 24-9. And with Carlisle winning the fourth quarter it was not enough as Newton defeated the Indians by 1, 65-66. Newton held Emrick to only 4 points...and Josh Koogle's game high 28 points and Jordan Jacobs 13 was not enough at the end.
Carlisle is 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the SWBL on the season and look to even their record up this Tuesday against Temple Christian.
