Valley View vs. Carlisle last night in Germantown

Carlisle travelled to Valley View last night hoping to capitalize on a stellar defense and unbelievable ground game...

Carlisle got on the scoreboard first when senior linebacker Jake Langdon tackled Valley View running back in the end zone for a safety with only about five minutes left in the first half.  That score was the game's only action at halftime, Carlisle 2 - Valley View 0.

In the 3rd quarter, the Spartans marched down the field and scored a touchdown pass through two Indian defenders.  Valley View had a 7-2 lead going into the fourth quarter.

With about 7 minutes left in the game Quarterback Jake Gibson scored on a QB Keeper giving our Carlisle Indians an 8-7 lead.  Valley View killed the two point try.

The Indians lead didn't hold up very long.  After the score Valley View's Schenck took the ensuing kickoff 85 yards for the score taking the lead back from the Indians.

The final score put the nail in the coffin for our Indians with only about 2 minutes left.  Valley View's Fox broke their that stingy Carlisle defense and ran for a 68 yard score and after an extra point gave Valley VIew the game deciding score of 22-7.

Carlisle's Nick "The Real Deal" McGill led the way with 152 yards rushing.
