Carlisle Indians Track Team update & upcoming meets!

So far this has been an exciting season for the both the boys and girls High School Track teams.

This season the track team consists of 32 athletes 16 boys and 16 girls in which many are new comers to the program. For 19 of the athletes this is their first year competing at the varsity level. So far this season Senior Jessica Eastlering set a new school record in the 300 Meter Hurdles at 49.7 seconds and Junior Taylor Scheffter tied the school record in the High Jump at 5 foot for the girls team. Mike Pope and Gary Koogle lead the way for the boys team competing in the sprints, relays and hurdles.

Coach Sprandel is optimistic the team is going to compete very well at league this year and has the potential to send several individuals and a relay or two to regionals and possibly to the state meet.

Below is a list of dates for the Carlisle Indians HS track team. Be sure to get out and support our local track athletes.

• Friday, May 8th: The High School Track team is competing at the Frank Chew invitational @ Madison High school

• Thursday, May 14 & Saturday May 16: The Carlisle High School track team will be competing at the League meet at Franklin Community Park Thursday begins at 4:30 and Saturday at 10 AM
  

• Thursday, May 21 and Saturday, May 23: The HS Track team will be competing at the District meet at UD's Welcome Stadium at 4 PM Thursday and 2PM Saturday-admission is $6 adults & students.
