Carlisle versus Northridge...Balanced attack leads to Victory!

The Indians are perfect after 5 games into the season this year!! The Indians trounced the Northridge Polar Bears 42-28 on Friday!!

Jordan "Juke Ya" Jacobs rushed for two touchdowns for the Indians!!

The Indians had a massive balanced attack against the Polar Bears. On Special Teams, Kelly LeForce "Be With You" recovered a block punt in the end zone for a score. On the ground, Nick "The Real Deal" McGill added another touchdown on his resume and Alex "The Show" Leach rushed for a TD, as well.

The passing game that so many people says is non existent was pretty on, as well. Jake "Gibby" Gibson hit Nick Reynolds on a 35 yard touchdown pass in the game! How can people really doubt that the Indians don't have a passing game when they have a returning QB that broke the passing record last year. Amazes me I tell ya!

The defense was stable too. Only allowing the Polar Bears 14 points till the fourth quarter.

The Indians take their 5-0 record to 4-1 Monroe Hornets next week. The talk has already begun. The focus is now the Hornets!

Follow up to Carlisle Football versus Waynesville...

football lightsImage by Gustty via Flickr

Our Carlisle Indians took their undefeated 3-0 record into their first SWBL Buckeye matchup last night versus the defending champs Waynesville Spartans. As previously reported, Carlisle dominated on defense and took the win from the Spartans 41-33. This score was not anywhere near the tale of the game. Carlisle led the game 41-17 until the last five minutes of the game and the Stingy Waynesville Spartans would just not go down that easy. Waynesville deserves a lot of credit in a valiant effort to close out the game. But Carlisle managed to slow down that effort and escape with a great win!!

The game started out with the Indians defense pretty much controlling the pace. Carlisle took advantage of 2 picks of Waynesville QB Cory Young and forced a fumble. In the first half, Nick McGill kept his unbelievable season rolling with two touchdowns and Jake Gibson added one. At the end of the half, Carlisle was up 20-10.

As the game went on Carlisle showed it's running dominance with Nick McGill rushing for 109 yards and despite fumbling three times and coughing it up to the Spartans twice "The Real Deal" McGill with determination still prevailed with a fine game.

The defense until the final five minutes was stingy as usual not letting Waynesville get in a groove. Deron Dawes was in the backfield twice sacking the Waynesville Quarterback for losses. Along, with the interceptions and fumble recovery Carlisle's Defense looks as good as it has ever been in history past.

Place kicker Kris Garrett also had another outstanding game converting on 5 of 6 extra points.

Waynesville moves to 2-2 on the season and Carlisle moves to an outstanding 4-0. The Indians do not get much of a break they have to go on the road next week to a very athletic Northridge squad and then on the road against Monroe. Two very tough SWBL Buckeye challenges and then the Indians, you have to think, are also looking somewhat ahead to an October 16th showdown with neighbor Valley View in Germantown!!

GO INDIANS!!!

More stats to come on Monday of the Waynesville game!!

Carlisle takes out last year's SWBL Champ!!

Carlisle Indians Football just got done taking care of the Waynesville Spartans 41-33 tonight!!

Nick "The Real Deal" McGill had 2 touchdowns in the first half and Jake "Gibby" Gibson threw for one. The Waynesville Spartans were League Champs last year and preseason favorites this year.

Looks like there is a new favorite!!!

More details to come!!!

Carlisle versus Waynesville TONIGHT!!! Who is going?

Tonight, our Carlisle Indians take the home field versus the Waynesville Spartans!! The Spartans are bringing a 2-1 record to the game against an undefeated and determined Indian Football squad! Last year, Waynesville stole the game 25-13 from the Indians.

Also, to keep you up to date with the Dayton Daily Experts. Three of the five experts picked Carlisle to win tonight. Only writer Billings and Mike Hartsock of WHIO picked against us!

The Indians defense will have their hands full again with Waynesville Senior RB Seth Millar in the game. Millar has gained 438 yards on 38 carries and has produced six touchdowns for the Spartans. If the defense plays as it has they should have no problem shutting down Millar. The Indian defense has only given up 10 points a game against three very capable high scoring teams. So it just another test for the Indians that I know they are prepared for!

Carlisle will be riding the shoulders of Nick McGill and Jordan Jacobs. McGill and Jacobs has been running up a TON of yards against teams. Last week, Jacobs had the trifecta by scoring on a running play, punt return, and kick return massing 189 combined yards against Oakwood! Mcgill continues to terrorize defenses last week against Oakwood were he contributed another 173 yards of offense and two scores!!

This week though look for QB Jake Gibson. Jake had an impressive game last week against Oakwood and we believe his confidence is just going to continue to get stronger as the season draws on and the record setting passer will be in for a big year and hopefully a big game tonight!!

The Lady Indians are currently 4-4 overall and 2-3 in the SWBL. The Indians are a very young team this year but continually have shown that their competitiveness has outweighed their youth!!

The Carlisle Indians are on a roll!

The Carlisle Indians Football program has started the season 3-0 for the first time in 7 years. With wins coming over Franklin, Brookville, and now Oakwood.

The game though in the first half did not come easy for the Indians. They started off the game with a comfortable 14-3 lead but Oakwood stormed back and took a 17-14 lead. But then there was a kick off.

Jordan "Juke Ya" Jacobs takes the kick off return 95 yards for an Indian score. Then the Indians defense comes alive and forces Oakwood to punt. Punting to Jacobs proved to be the wrong answer again. Jacobs took the punt 80 yards for another touchdown score. Halftime score Indians 34, Oakwood 17.

The second half the Indians offense could not be contained. Nick McGill ran the ball and caught the ball at will. McGill ran for 95 yards rushing and 78 yards receiving adding two touchdowns. Jake Gibson through for 4 touchdowns one to start off the second half. In the fourth quarter Coach Jewell gave his starters a break but that did not stop the intensity on the field. Alex Leach came in at quarterback and had about a 40 yard keeper play for a touchdown.

The Indians won the game 54-17. The Defense after the first half never gave Oakwood a chance to score again. With a Koogle interception and a strong 4th down and 2 defensive stance the Indians never let up!

Our Indians start their SWBL Buckeye league games next Friday against defending champ Waynesville. Waynesville was the preseason favorite to win again this year but after the impressive start to the season many people are thinking this is Carlisle's year!!

Carlisle Football players leaders...

Nick McGill is one of the leaders in the area in rushing and all purpose yards with 329 yards. Click here for article. He also is big in the area of scoring with a total of 18 points.

QB Jake Gibson is doing a solid job in passing with 9 of 22 completed for 115 yards and a touchdown.

The kicking game has been pretty stellar with Kris Garrett third in points with 4-4 Extra Point attempts and 2-3 in Field Goals. Adam Emerick is in the tops with 6 punts worth 185 yards averaging 30.8 per punt.

Defense has been extrodinary and has many leaders in the area. Ty Fisher has one interception. Dusty Laughlin leads with three sacks. Jake Langdon has 2 and Kelly LaForce and Deron Dawes has 1.

Carlisle also is causing people to cough up the ball. Derron Dawes leads the team with two fumble recoveries and Josh Koogle has one.

Carlisle is well representing the area in statistics but what it translates out too is TEAM EFFORT and team effort always positive results. Thus, Carlisle's record of 2-0!

Carlisle has leading rusher in the area....

Carlisle has leading rusher in the area....his name Nick "The Real Deal" McGill. Nick is leading the area in rushing with 329 yard on 47 carries giving him an outstanding 7 yards per carry! He has also contributed with three touchdowns. Last year, the leading rusher for the Indians Michael Pearson who has not been able to play until tonight versus Oakwood led the Indians with 637 yards and 10 touchdowns. McGill is over halfway to that mark in just two games. With Pearson back tonight and McGill that will be a nasty tandem that teams will have to stop!

Nick, has earned Middletown Journal Player of the Week and now is the first ever Athlete of the Week for Carlisle Daily. Nick's rushing against Brookville 189 yards on 21 carries and a score earned him the honor with Carlisle Daily!

We have reached out to Coach Bill Jewell to get a hold of Nick and his family. Nick's picture is posted in JD Legends and hopefully Subway or Hotline in Carlisle today! Nick also has won a free photo shoot with The Voice of Miami Valley photographer jdcPhotography, Jeff Connely.

Great job Nick!!

Carlisle Football not defeating odds, just winning!!

The last two weeks the Carlisle Indians have been underdogs in their first two matchups against Franklin and Brookville. They held both of those strong offensive teams to just 13 points in both of their wins. Many would look at this at defeating the odds. The Indians look at this as just winning by hard work, preparation, and great coaching!!

The Indians who are led by some key senior leaders have worked hard in the offseason conditioning, going to speed camps, and putting that last bit of effort individually as players that it takes to win games.

Defeating the odds, we think not. Though, in the Dayton Daily news experts poll they were looking at being picked by only 2 out of 5 to win the Franklin game and then an astounding 1 out of 5 to win the Brookville game. But the hard work and dedication has showed on the field and has produced wins.

On to tonight, Carlisle plays the favorite with an overwhelming 4 out of 5 picks to beat Oakwood tonight in the Dayton Daily column. Ironically, the one writer for the Dayton Daily who went out on a limb, so to speak, and pick them to win last week is the one guy picking against them this week. Fantasy leagues, fantasy picks, etc, etc are of no matter we know this but Carlisle is just letting their response be heard on the field.

In Oakwood, they will see another powerhouse running team and it will be up to Seniors Jake Langdon who has 22 tackles on the year and Kyle Bartlett who has 13 to lead the Indians defense as they have in their previous two matchups.

Carlisle, will look to go 3-0 to start their season since they started 3-0 in 2002. Be sure to get out and support the Indians in their remarkable start to this 2009 season!!!

Valley View who is 6-2 on the season now was a bit to much for our Carlisle Indians this week.

Carlisle Upsets Brookville, keeps proving critics wrong!!

Carlisle Upsets Brookville, keeps proving critics wrong!! The Carlisle Indians marched into Brookville tonight with a supposed upset last week versus Franklin and a lot less support on winning tonight from local media!! With that said, Carlisle stood up to the criticism and beat highly favored Brookville 16-6!!

How about that for the Dayton Daily Experts 4 out of 5, so called experts, picking against Carlisle. I guess Billing was the only one that knows this is a true, solid, mean Carlisle football team hungry for victory!!

Carlisle led by QB Jake "Gibby" Gibson went into Brookville throwing a 15 yard strike to Jordan "Juke Ya" Jacobs to give Carlisle six. Kris "Guaranteed" Garrett kicked the extra point. And with the defense shutting down yet another offense by scoring a safety. Carlisle takes halftime lead 9-0!!

The third quarter Carlisle's Defense shutsout Brookville yet again and keep the 9-0 lead going into the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter, Carlisle picked up another touchdown by Nick "The Real Deal" McGill on a five yard TD run and Kris Garrett capped things off with the extra point. The defense let up just a little and gave up 6 to Brookville but that was all and won 16-6. This is a BIG SWBL win for Carlisle. They lost a damaging 55-22 loss to Brookville last year so this was sweet redemption!!

Carlisle 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the SWBL!!

Pictures and more Details coming later tonight!!!!

Carlisle Indians Football looks to keep rolling despite skeptics!

#28 Nick McGill ran for 135 yards and two scores last week versus Franklin!

Carlisle Indians Football looks to keep rolling despite skeptics! Can you believe again in the Dayton Daily News "termed used loosely EXPERTS" have picked against Carlisle this week. Last week, only two of the five experts picked Carlisle to win against Franklin. This week only one of the experts Greg Billing, of the Dayton Daily News, has Carlisle winning at Brookville.

Did any of these guys see the game last week? The Indians forced a strong Franklin team into five turnovers and ran all over their defense led by Nick "The Real Deal" McGill's 135 yards and two touchdowns.

Anyhow, the Indians do go in to Brookville again as underdogs. Last year, Brookville stomped us 55-22 but the Indians are looking for a little revenge. Brookville took care of Tri-County North last week easily 41-8. So the Indians will have their hands full stopping the big plays that Brookville is notorious for. Last week, Brookville had 5 plays that went for 25 yards or more.

The Indians bring a ton more experience to this year's match and tonight's game will be a HUGE test for Coach Jewell and the team! Make sure you don't miss this unbelievable SWBL Buckeye battle at 7:30pm!!!
